Do you remember how awesome the first BLADE movie was? Do you remember how the next additions to the franchise decreased in awesome exponentially? Would you want to relive that excitement followed by constant disappointment all over again? Well now you can! Stephen Dorff is planning on reprising his role of Deacon from the first film for a new trilogy, created by both him and by BLADE director, Stephen Norrington, centered on his character. In an interview Dorff told The Sunday Mail,

“It will be a prequel to the Blade movies, Deacon’s story. It’s a new trilogy the director has created. It will be cool… We hope to shoot the first film next year. Frost is a character I have never been able to shake.”

This would be Norrington’s first film produced since THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMAN forced Sean Connery to retire from acting. Norrington has also been reported to be working on a revamp of THE CROW, which is long overdue for a remake/butchering according to Hollywood standards. Go get ‘em, Stephen! Extra Tidbit: The monster Dorff becomes at the end of BLADE was originally a giant whirlpool of blood. Good thing that changed.
