If you told me in 2006 that I would one day be adding my childhood best friend’s parents on Facebook I would have called you a liar. Today, they still aren’t, but that’s only because I refuse to accept their endless friend requests. Thus is the social collosus that is Facebook. A Facebook movie was announced earlier this year to mixed reaction and no knowledge of the plot. Dubbed THE SOCIAL EXPIRIEMENT, the story is not about the site but actually about Mark Zuckerberg and his friends and their ensuing struggles while creating an Empire. Screenwriting guru, ScriptShadow, just got his hands on Aaron Sorkin’s first draft and really enjoyed it.
It’s a story about greed, about obsession, about our belief that all the money in the world can make us happy. But it’s also unpredictable, funny, touching, and sad. It gives us that rare glimpse into the improbable world of mega-success.
Sounds like an interesting story to me, although I like my idea for a quasi-adaptation of the site better. In the Year 2006, a young Drew Kaufman, about to start his first year of college when he is visited aliens called “Pokes” from the “Facebook Galaxy.” They’ve come to earth to find all of our attractive women tag them in photos. Also, my girlfriend is Zooey Deschanel and we have a sex scene. Maybe Eight. Check out the full review here.
Extra Tidbit: Are eight sex scenes not enough?
